Noone can make an afternoon crowd as happy as Vampire Weekend can. They might be the most hyped about band of 2007 but they are by no means exclusively for the cool kids. They opened with 'Mansard Roof', an easy slice of afrobeat pop that had the crowd cheering their approval before moving on to play the whole of their debut and about 90% of the people around me knew all the words to every song.

'One (Blake's Got a New Face)' was probably the crowd favourite if only for the sing-along factor. Closing with 'Walcott' wasn't a bad move either - it caused as close to a moshpit as they came the whole show.
